Three new Engager updates:
Great news, three updates have just gone live in Engager, Multiple address support, plus TaxCalc sync, Dynamic date placeholders and Hyperlinks in checklists, memos and services. Each one is aimed at helping practices manage client information more accurately and cut out repetitive admin, and we've put together a quick video for each so you can see them in action.
Multiple address support, plus TaxCalc sync
This is one of the most requested features from firms already using Engager, and a significant step forward for our TaxCalc integration.
Every client record can now hold as many addresses as a practice needs, a registered office, an auditor's address, a trading address, whatever the client requires. You can mark which one is the default and keep a full history of previous addresses, so nothing gets lost when a client moves.
For firms running Engager alongside TaxCalc, addresses now sync both ways between the two systems, so client details stay consistent wherever your team is working, without re-entering the same information twice.
It's one of several improvements planned for the TaxCalc integration, and we'll share more as they land.
Dynamic date placeholders
Chasing clients for last month's records used to mean updating the date by hand every time. Not anymore.
New date placeholders automatically insert the current or previous month and year, in whatever format suits, September 2026, SEP26, or 09-2026, across emails, message templates and document templates.
Write the request once, and Engager keeps the date current every time it's sent, one less thing for your team to get wrong at a busy time of year.
Hyperlinks in checklists, memos and services
Practices increasingly rely on standard operating procedures, HMRC and Companies House guidance, and training videos to keep client work consistent, especially when onboarding new staff. Now you can link straight to them from inside Engager.
Links can be added to checklists, service phases, client memos, and general remarks on a job, where Engager automatically detects and displays any URL. Wherever your team is working, the right guidance is a click away.
Keep the feedback coming
Two of the three updates in this release, TaxCalc address sync and hyperlinks, came directly from client requests. That's exactly how we want it to keep working.
If there's something slowing your practice down, or something you'd love Engager to do that it doesn't yet, tell us. Log it on Sleekplan or raise it with your account manager, it's the fastest route from "this is annoying" to "this got built."
