Improved efficiency across the firm
"We were constantly running out of server space, had to update every single PC individually, and the costs kept rising without any real return in improved functionality,” Clare recalls. “On top of that, support was slow or just not effective.”
"We were drawn to TaxCalc's simplicity, value for money, and the fact it was scalable if we wanted to expand."
Clare Jenner, Director
Jenner’s Tax & Business Advisers
After hearing strong recommendations from members of the Accountant’s Growth Club, Clare and her team decided to take a closer look at TaxCalc
"We were drawn to its simplicity, value for money, and the fact it was scalable if we wanted to expand,” Clare explains. “The ‘What If?’ planner for tax forecasting also caught our eye.”
ith 7 staff and around 225 clients, Jenner’s needed software that was easy to use, fast to implement, and reliable from day one
Despite a lack of formal training at the outset, the transition went better than expected.
“We had a hard start with no structured training, just instinct.” Clare admits. “But because several team members had used TaxCalc before, it was relatively easy for all of us to pick it up and get on with the job.”
Since making the move, workflow and client service have improved dramatically.
“The software’s logic makes sense, and I really like being able to sort things myself without needing to call support.” Clare says. “The knowledge base is excellent - clear and concise - and it gets me back on track quickly if I hit a snag.”
Stability has also played a key role.
“We’ve only had one instance of downtime since installing it - and even then, we were kept informed throughout.” she adds.
Clare’s confidence in the platform has grown to the point that she’s now considering adding modules they hadn’t originally planned to adopt.
