This release expands the MTD Individual Tax Return to support more income types, allowances and reliefs for the 2025/26 public testing year, and lets you update a business's accounting basis with HMRC directly from MTD Quarterly Filer. We've also added multiple-address synchronisation with Engager, new share capital records and forms, more client reporting options and legislative updates to Accounts Production.

MTD Individual Tax Return now supports a much wider range of client circumstances for the 2025/26 public testing year, with additions covering:
For supported areas, you can complete data entry, HMRC data retrieval, calculation checks and submission within TaxCalc. Updated reports and new Check & Finish validations help you catch issues before submitting.
Scope: Capital Gains Tax, employment lump sums and foreign property are not included in this phase.
For sole traders and partners, TaxCalc now calculates the Class 4 NIC adjustment on SA103 and SA104 where Class 4 losses exceed those used for income tax. The figure recalculates as profits or losses change and remains editable if you need to override it.
New 64-8s automatically use HMRC's June 2025 version, with updated guidance links and the Tax Credits and Child Benefit section removed. Existing 64-8s remain unchanged and can still be opened, edited and printed.
Switch an MTD business between cash and accruals during the tax year and submit the change to HMRC from the Business Information screen. This keeps HMRC's records aligned with the business without waiting for the year to end.
Now available on non-statutory profit and loss accounts, matching limited company and LLP accounts.
Accounts covering a period rather than a year now show the period covered in column headings.
Examination and audit limits for charities in England and Wales are updated for periods on or after 30 September 2026. Check & Finish warns you when a limit is exceeded.
Share consolidations and subdivisions recorded in Practice Manager can now generate a pre-populated SH02, which Companies House still requires on paper. New share types created through a bonus issue trigger a pre-populated SH01.
AD01, AP01, PSC01 and PSC04 have also been updated to the latest Companies House versions.
Multiple client addresses now sync in both directions between TaxCalc and Engager. You can update details in either system without entering them twice or risking inconsistent records.
The updated Share Capital screen shows a full history of allotments for each share type. An improved wizard handles new share types, consolidations, subdivisions and bonus issues, and triggers the relevant Companies House forms.

Tag placements now display better across multiple monitors.
