iXBRL Template Version 5.0 - released 29th November 2012

  • Spelling and grammar inconsistencies corrected
  • Error List hidden as it does not need to be visible to users
  • Informative comments on boxes to provide advice on inputting data
  • Data Validation to all numeric entry fields to eliminate blank space errors
  • Exceptional Items validation updated for current and previous years
  • Auto-population of cells so duplicated entries are minimised, saving time
  • Numerous links that will copy inputted data between BS and note tabs

iXBRL Template Version 4.01 - released 6th August 2012

  • This release is to ensure that the errors that have been occurring when submitting to HMRC are significantly reduced before the conversion of the Excel Template.
  • Includes a validation update to Tax on Ordinary Activities to take into account whether any deferred tax or prior period adjustments have been used in the note.
  • Reserves note on the Notes11 sheet has been altered to show that the note relates to only the current year and has no comparative year.
  • New validations have been written to catch inconsistent duplicate fact value errors for the following entries:
    • Stocks figures relating to the BS and the Trading P+L sheets
    • Closing Stocks figures from the previous year matching the Opening Stocks figures in the current year
    • Creditors Falling Due Within One Year for current and previous years
    • Creditors Falling Due After One Year for current and previous years
    • Obligations Under Finance Lease
    • Goodwill on the StatP+L sheet and the corresponding entry in the Operating Profit note found on the Note4 sheet
    • Exceptional Items on the StatP+L sheet
    • Bank charges and interest payable have been renamed on the Trading P+L sheet
  • The product version number has been added to the template to allow easy version identification.
